We recently did a job that turned out much larger than expected because the customer did not give an accurate inventory. We had to add more crew members to the job at the end of the day, which bumped up the customers hourly rate. The first 6 hours of the job was at our 3 crew rate, the last four hours of the job was at our 5 man crew rate. All of this discussed with the customer because of inaccurate inventory. When we tried to bill the job we found there was no way to split the day and charge a different rate for the hours the extra crew was added. That would be a nice feature to add. We can do it on multi day jobs depending on crew size. Being able to split a day to accommodate for changes in crew size or other things that would adjust an hourly rate would be helpful.
